Celebrate Northeastern University
Student Employees
and their Supervisors!
The National Student Employment Association has declared the second complete week in April each year be set aside to recognize the value of student employees. We encourage you to take the time to recognize students employees who show outstanding work ethics and skills and student supervisors who exemplify professional standards and provide mentorship.
We will have the celebration of National Student Employment Week on April 13 – 19 2025. Please join us in celebrating our student employees during this week and show them appreciation and recognition for their effort and time! We also want to thank YOU, the employer, who hires and supports student employment on- or off-campus.
To celebrate the week throughout different campuses and offices, we’ve provided a list below of fun and affordable ideas to show appreciation. You can decide what your office is going to do to celebrate based on your own office environment and budget (not limited to the list). Remember to tag us on Instagram @nu.studentjobs and use #NUStudentEmploymentWeek for pictures and videos of your week!
Nominate your student for the Student Employee of the Year award!
Student employees enhance the University in many ways. Do you have an outstanding student employee? Nominate them for the prestigious Student Employee of the Year award. Awardees will be announced in our virtual celebration on April 14.
Nominate your supervisor for the Supervisor of the Year award!
Does your supervisor go above and beyond to mentor you and develop your skills? Nominate them for the Supervisor of the Year award. Awardees will be announced in our virtual celebration on April 14.

Submit a shout-out for a supervisor or student who has been doing a great job. Post them in your department or on social media. On Instagram, tag us @nu.studentjobs and include #NUStudentEmploymentWeek in the caption.
